In March it became official: The “Dragon King” Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck (40) and his wife Queen Jetsun Pema have another son. The heads of the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan became proud parents for the first time in 2016 when their son, the “dragon prince” Jigme Namgyel, was born. More than two months after the birth of Jigme’s little brother, there are now also the first photos of the second born!
How Vanity Fair reports, the Royal Family has published the snapshots of the sweet blue-flowered bundle of joy on Instagram – on the occasion of the Queen’s 30th birthday. The pictures show the little baby not only on his mother’s arm, but also with his father and big brother. In one of the golden pictures taken in the gardens of the Lingkana Palace, the four-year-old heir to the throne caresses the cheek of the 10-week-old baby.
The post on Instagram also promises that the baby’s name will be revealed in the coming days. However, only after a ritual baptism ceremony has taken place. So far, the nameless royal offspring has only been referred to as “Gyalsey”, which can be translated in German as “Crown Prince”.
