Motsi Mabuse (39) is often close to tears when she has to leave her daughter! About two years ago, the Let’s Dance juror and her husband Evgenij Voznyuk became parents for the first time – and their whole world was only about the little one. Since the native South African also works in England, among other places, she often had to leave her family temporarily in Germany. In the interview, the choreographer now reveals how she deals with it!
Motsi is not only seen on German television, where she diligently distributes points alongside Joachim Llambi (55) and Jorge Gonzalez (52): she is also a member of the jury for Strictly Come Dancing in Great Britain. In order not to burden her daughter, who will already be two in August, the 39-year-old traveled to England alone every Saturday for the last recordings of the show. How difficult it was for her, she revealed in an interview with the British magazine Mirror: “I cry a lot when I’m on the plane.” This is how she combines family and work, even if it makes her own life more stressful: “I have never missed a doctor’s appointment. I came home for two hours to take her to the doctor and then flew back again.”
It also had to be that the balancing act between job and private life is sometimes difficult Motsi admit. In the meantime, however, she has found the right balance and forego one thing above all when she is with her loved ones: your smartphone! “I was never disconnected from my cell phone before. Now I try to be less on the social networks. I want to find a balance.”
