In yesterday’s edition of Schlag den Star, moderator Sylvie Meis (42) and model Lilly Becker (43) proved themselves in various skill and sport challenges. The latter had barely been able to see anything through her fogged helmet visor while driving an amphibious vehicle and cried helplessly: “I can’t see”. That left the speaker Ron Ringguth not uncommented and caused great excitement on the net with his saying “Not ‘I can’t breathe’, but ‘I can’t see'”. Answered during the broadcast Ron with an apology.
The later game “Disgrace or cash in” was about the current demonstrations in the USA and the Black Lives Matter movement. That saw Ron as a good time to apologize after his controversial saying, “I made an inappropriate comment earlier,” he said. It had slipped out of him that shouldn’t have happened. “I can only apologize again very briefly”, he added.
The broadcaster also supported this statement Twitter sorry: “This sentence, which Twitter is rightly upset about, was unfortunately very unnecessary. We apologize. Sincere. Such a sentence does not fit ProSieben’s attitude.”
