Sad news for all music fans: The mood singer Werner Böhm (78), who is known to many as an art figure Gottlieb Wendehals, died. The singer celebrated his greatest success with the hit “Polonäse Blankenese”, which was catapulted to the top of the German charts in the 1980s and is still a real carnival classic. Now his fans have to say goodbye to the composer forever – he died a few days before his 79th birthday.
His wife, Susanne Böhm, has that picture communicated: “Werner fell asleep peacefully on Gran Canaria. I’m very sad”she explained. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined – Werner Böhm has yet to be autopsied. Shortly before his death, the music icon emigrated from Hamburg to Gran Canaria and received support from a good acquaintance there.
Most recently, Werner Böhm provided with the separation from Susanne for headlines. The 50-year-old had left him after 24 years of marriage and only left a farewell letter – she accused him of not having his alcohol addiction under control. The son Jerôme came from the marriage.
