This show was short-lived! For about four months now, Marco Schreyl’s (46) talk show has been flickering every afternoon on German television screens. Bastian Yotta (43) and Jasmin Tawil (37) were guests in the program, which was intended to revive the daily talk genre and bring it back on TV. Due to the current situation, the show should go into the summer break for a while – but it shouldn’t be continued now!
How DWDL reported, the talk show will be shelved after June 12 due to poor ratings. Markus Küttner, the RTL division manager for entertainment and daytime, told the magazine that they “tried out a lot of topics” and even achieved high market shares in between. Nevertheless, “the interest of the viewers was unfortunately not sufficient overall”.
On average, the show is said to have reached a market share of just under seven percent in the 14- to 49-year-old target group. For this reason, “Marco Schreyl” will not be continued this autumn. Instead of the talk show, the 4:00 p.m. slot should first be repeated with the documentary soap “Martin Rütter – Die puppies come”.
